1. Introduction

BTFX Journal (“we”, “our”, or “the application”) is an independent trading journal and performance tracking tool built by BokaroTraderFx. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your trading records, journal entries, and account information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is stored, and how it is used to provide you with a structured trading journal experience.

2. Information We Collect

To operate BTFX Journal and provide personal performance metrics, we collect and store the following categories of data:

• Account Information: Your email address and encrypted password credentials (handled securely via our authentication service provider, Supabase).
• Trade Records: Information you input about your trades, including dates, instruments, direction (long/short), entry and exit prices, contract/share sizes, stop loss, take profit, commissions, and computed gross/net P&L.
• Journal Notes & Reviews: Text, checklists, pre-market preparation plans, post-market reflection notes, emotional state tags, mistake tags, and trade lessons.
• Screenshots & Charts: Chart image files uploaded or linked to support your trade reviews.
• Settings & Preferences: Account labels (e.g. personal brokers, prop firm accounts), display currency preferences, and theme choices.

3. How Your Information Is Used

We use the data you provide solely for the purpose of delivering the journal functionality:

• Displaying your Daily Diary, trade log, and calendar heatmaps.
• Calculating performance metrics such as win rate, profit factor, average win/loss, and streak tracking.
• Generating your personal exports (CSV, notes JSON, and journal reports) upon your request.
• Managing session authentication and password recovery.

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal trading records, trades, or diary notes to advertisers or external third parties.

4. Data Storage & Isolation

Your trade data and user profile are hosted in secure cloud infrastructure managed by Supabase. Database security is enforced using database-level Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. This ensures that only your authenticated account can read, write, or modify your trade entries.

Uploaded chart images are stored in protected storage buckets and referenced only by your trades. Local browser notes utilize local storage in your browser for fast offline-friendly access.

5. 30-Day Trash & Deletion

BTFX Journal implements a 30-day “Recently Deleted” safety system to prevent accidental loss of your journal records. When you delete a trade or note:

• It is moved to Recently Deleted and hidden from active journal views, statistics, and exports.
• It remains recoverable by you for 30 calendar days.
• You can restore it to its original date and account at any time within this 30-day window.
• You may permanently delete items at any time, which purges the database records and any unreferenced chart images immediately.

6. Infrastructure Providers

BTFX Journal relies on reputable third-party infrastructure to deliver service reliability:

• Supabase: For user authentication, encrypted database storage, and file storage.
• Vercel: For web application hosting and global edge delivery.
